Privacy Policy
Last updated October 5, 2026
Clipistle turns recordings you upload into short video clips. This policy explains what we collect, why, who helps us run the service, and the choices you have. Questions: hello@clipistle.com.
What we collect
- Account details: your name, email address, and, if you sign in with Google, your Google profile name and email.
- Workspace details: your organization’s name, team members and their roles, templates, logos and settings.
- Content you provide: recordings you upload or link to, the transcripts we create from them, and the clips, captions and post text we produce.
- Billing details: your plan and payment history. Card numbers are handled by Stripe and never reach our servers.
- Basic technical data: sign-in sessions and logs we need to run and secure the service.
How we use it
To transcribe your recordings, choose and edit clips, render videos, write post captions, run your account and billing, keep the service secure, and support you. We do not sell your data, and we do not use your recordings to train AI models.
Who processes data for us
- Supabase: accounts, sign-in and our database.
- Cloudflare R2: storage of uploaded recordings, clips and logos.
- Modal: the computers that transcribe and render your videos.
- Anthropic (Claude): reads transcripts to pick clips, proofread captions and write post text. Under Anthropic’s commercial terms, this content is not used to train its models.
- Vercel: hosts the Clipistle website.
- Stripe: payments and invoices.
- Google: only if you choose “Continue with Google” to sign in.
How long we keep it
Uploaded source recordings are deleted 30 days after processing. Clips, transcripts and settings stay until you delete them or close your account. When an account is closed we delete its content within 30 days, except records we must keep for tax or legal reasons.
Your choices
You can delete clips at any time, and ask us to export or delete your data by emailing hello@clipistle.com. Workspace admins control who can access their workspace.
Children
Clipistle is for organizations and adults. Accounts are not intended for anyone under 16. Organizations are responsible for having permission to publish recordings that include minors.
Changes
If we change this policy in a meaningful way, we will tell account owners by email before the change takes effect.
